MICHAELA C JONES
Michaela joined the Shirey Home Pro team in 2017. As our Service Project Coordinator, she listens to our client’s home maintenance and project needs. She gives them the estimates and schedules for their projects. She also sources and schedules the subcontractors and the necessary materials for projects.
Michaela started at Shirey Home Pro as an intern in 2015. Shirey’s original owners were family friends of Michaela’s family, so they offered for her to come up from her home in Florida the summer before her senior year of college to intern. She had such a fun time interning with Shirey and living in Seattle that she decided to move out to WA two years later to work for Shirey again as a full-time Service Project Coordinator. She originally found it challenging to work in the remodeling/handyman industry because she received a BA in Theatre with an emphasis in Stage, Company, and Events Management. However, her skills in scheduling and coordinating proved just as useful in the remodeling/handyman industry as they were in theatre.
Her favorite thing about her job is figuring out how to help clients find the best solution for their projects and then seeing the finished result. She also loves learning about new products and techniques that would make things easier for the technicians and give clients a beautiful, long-lasting look for their home project. Michaela believes that clients return to Shirey and make Shirey their personal handyman/remodeler because “we like to get to know clients and their needs”.
Michaela’s friends and family would describe her as “outgoing, reliable and passionate.” After work, she likes to go to Seahawks and Seattle Thunderbirds games. She is very excited for the Kraken’s inaugural season. When she’s not attending sports games, she’s exploring the great Pacific Northwest. Some of her favorite spots are Snoqualmie Falls, Deception Pass, and the Hoh Rainforest. Seeing Broadway shows and concerts is another hobby of hers. Of course, as the true Seattlite she is, Michaela spends rainy days curled up with a good book or binging Netflix because apparently she didn’t get tired of that during quarantine. Michaela is also the New Member Experience Advisor for her sorority at the local Alpha Gamma Delta chapter at UW-Seattle. She has held this position for almost 2 years.
