Community

community Counts

We’re proud to call the Seattle area our home. This is where our friends are, our kids go to school, our hopes and dreams take place. Our people stay active in the community by donating time, money and resources to organizations that make a real difference on a local level.

MBA Rampathon

MBA Rampathon helps our disabled neighbors in the Puget Sound area by building free wheelchair ramps. That way, low-income homeowners can get easier access to and from their homes. Shirey Home Pro is one of the program’s founding companies and has donated the construction of 19 ramps so far.

Paying it Forward

Since we opened, we’ve believed in supporting the people and causes that make Seattle unique. Here are a few of the organizations we support either financially or through volunteer work:

Seattle Humane Society

For over 125 years, the Seattle Humane Society has led with compassion as we care for pets and those who love them. Our work will continue to strengthen the human-animal bond as we look ahead to our future of savings lives, completing families, and keeping pets in loving homes.

Encompass

MBA Rampathon

Since 1993, yearly, MBAKS members and community volunteers head to homes throughout King and Snohomish counties to build wheelchair-access ramps for free. Our members have provided more than 600 wheelchair ramps. These ramps provide a much-needed benefit for individuals and families who struggle to safely get themselves or their loved ones in and out of their homes.

Recovery Beyond

At Recovery Beyond, we see recovery as an adventure! Recovery is an active, spirited way of living rooted in the joy and freedom of genuine health and wholeness. Since 2011, our community has grown by offering consistent, accessible, adventure-based experiences led by peers for peers. Recovery Beyond’s peer-driven model works in partnership with treatment programs, community organizations, and behavioral health systems to provide critical success factors for long-term recovery:
  1. Health – tools for learning to manage the symptoms of substance use disorder and making positive choice.
  2. Purpose – meaningful activities, exploration of interests, and development of life goals.
  3. Community – a network of recovering individuals and their allies who offer support, encouragement, and hope.

We seek to uplift and strengthen our local community by providing emergency financial aid for rent and utilities to individuals and families facing temporary hardship. We are dedicated to fostering stability, dignity, and hope by addressing the immediate needs of our neighbors so they can have a secure environment in which to thrive.

KIDSTAGE MISSION:

Vision House

As a Christian non-profit service provider, Vision House is a program with transitional housing that helps break the cycle of homelessness for families with children. Regardless of race, religion, national origin, gender, or sexual preference, every person deserves a healthy home. It’s not a privilege but a basic human right. We strive to provide opportunities for life change to overcome trauma, generational poverty, and situational homelessness.

Trail Youth Coffee Home

A coffee shop for everyone that “pours” into the youth of the community, one cup at a time. The Trail Youth Coffee directly supports our various impactful teen programs. We are proud to have been recognized as the #1 non-profit in Snoqualmie Valley in 2020 and 2023.
