We’re thrilled to share a stunning bathroom project we recently completed. Our journey with this client began a few years ago with a smaller project. After a decade of living in his 1992 home, he decided it was time to refresh. What started as a simple countertop replacement turned into a full-scale remodel. Our goal was to create a bathroom that would enhance his daily life, and we're proud to say we succeeded.
Our design team gathered to remove the outdated tile, oak cabinets, framed gold shower, and useless step into the tub. We updated the finishes to complete the look and meet the client’s style. We added a rain head to the shower and moved all the fixtures to one wall, creating room for a massive niche. Bringing the tile wainscot, pencil bullnose, porcelain wall panels, and shower glass together was an exhilarating challenge we successfully navigated. We also added a heated towel bar. While rewiring the bathroom, our electrician added a cool feature: when our client steps onto the warm floor tiles, the motion sensor turns on the cabinet toe kick lighting, so no other lighting is needed for those late-night trips to the TOTO smart toilet.
The bathroom pocket door included a Cavity Slider soft-close assembly. The two sinks are more thoughtfully spaced at the vanity, leaving usable counter space on both sides. The Cambria quartz countertops and the warmth of the Medallion cabinetry flow onto the tub deck and front panel, which stretch out in the MTI under-mount 6' soaking tub. With the view from the window, our client can enjoy the stars in the evening and the forested hillside where numerous deer visited us during the project during the day.
While we were at it, the client asked us, as his Personal Home Contractor, to expand the remodel to include the kitchen. We installed a new induction cooktop and added a more aesthetically pleasing and safer exterior railing. Look for future newsletters that will cover these projects.
